Standing on a Tower
I started listening from Here Comes Sunshine and I can still easily give this a 5 star rating. Once they took Playing out of the 1st set closer spot it opened up a bunch of possibilities.(also left them free to put the WRS Suite in that slot). Whether they wanted to weave PITB out of Uncle John's or perhaps like this night weave it throughout the 2nd set. And yes the Truckin>Nobodies Fault shines because it is the fruit of the P.I.T.B exploration they had been doing all evening. These 1973 GDTRFB are pretty huge! Different songs got different roles over 50 year haul While Catching UJB in the encore slot might have been a drag in 1973? I wouldn't have minded it one bit in the 80's or 90's. in fact it strikes a nice balance for this show.

All about the Truckin'>NFBM transition...
This is a good '73 show, to be true. The sound is pretty good. Quite a bit of hiss and some nasty patches (especially during GDTRFB...it was just COOKING until a nasty patch in the middle). I am wondering if the other SBD source here is better. Good show, nevertheless. Setlist-wise, it is a dream. The entire 2nd set is great. Definitely an anti-climactic UJB, though (one of my least favorite versions ever). They should have quit after the very powerful version of OMSN. Performance=4.5, setlist=5, sound=3.5...4.333 overall.

Re:
That is certainly amazing Dead, but the "Truckin'" > the end falls a tad flat. Can you imagine if the third disc involved 11/20's "Truckin'" jam? I mean, this show is already in contention for greatest ever, but damn. Surely late '73 was a terrific period for the band.
